Flying The NDB Approach

You need to try a couple of NDB approaches before you start getting the hang of them. Although the operation of the ADF is far simpler than VOR or ILS navigation, the interpretation of the instrument is often more confusing.

For this section, you recall the Heights situation that you saved in the chapter "Instrument Departures and Basic Enroute Procedures" during your trip from Champaign to Chicago and the BayWatch situation that you saved on the way to San Francisco.

These situations allow you the opportunity to try one non-terminal NDB approach and one terminal NDB approach.
