Cross Country

by Alfred Poor

Section C:

New York A

New York, New York! The default scenery for this part of the country includes Manhattan and some of the familiar sights in that area, but it also stretches to cover large portions of the New York Sectional chart—all the way out to Martha’s Vineyard off Cape Cod and up to Boston. The add-on scenery from Microsoft fills in some of the details in the greater metropolitan New York area. In addition to the three major area airports—Kennedy, La Guardia, and Newark—there are many smaller fields with plenty of general aviation activity.

For these three flights, you’ll stay clear of the more crowded skies over Manhattan, and instead will take a circle route to some of the less-famous airports in New York and New Jersey.
