Air Express Deadhead: Van Nuys to San Diego
Since the day is growing late, you decide on a quick turnaround at Van Nuys. After parking the airplane and turning your parcel over to the client's messenger, you immediately recheck the weather and file a flight plan for the return trip.
The weather remains unchanged. There's still a low overcast at the airport and the winds-aloft forecast is the same as before. For the trip back, you simply reverse the routing you had coming up, requesting 5000 feet. Having filed IFR, you return to the airplane and taxi over to the fuel pumps to top off the tanks.
You're now ready to go.
